How Kazma connects to your Google account for Gmail and Google Drive
What is Kazma?
Kazma is a reliable, production-grade multi-agent framework and automation assistant. It helps you back up your data, run durable workflows, and send automated messages across platforms. One of Kazma's core capabilities is connecting to your Google account so it can safely read, back up, and act on your Google data on your behalf — with your explicit permission and full human-in-the-loop control.
Connecting Kazma to Google
When you connect Kazma to Google, you authorize the app through Google's standard OAuth 2.0 consent screen. Kazma requests only the scopes it needs to perform the tasks you ask for — such as reading and sending Gmail messages, and reading or writing files in Google Drive. You can review and revoke these permissions at any time from your Google Account settings.
Google Gmail access
With Gmail access, Kazma can list, read, categorize, search, and send email messages as part of the backup and automation workflows you configure. Common use cases include:
- Backing up important Gmail conversations to a safe, durable store.
- Auto-categorizing and labeling messages using Kazma's memory and belief graph.
- Sending messages on your behalf only after explicit human approval (HITL-gated).
- Summarizing and analyzing threads with the Kazma supervisor.
Google Drive access
With Google Drive access, Kazma can read, organize, and back up your Drive files so your documents are protected and easy to retrieve. Common use cases include:
- Creating scheduled, encrypted backups of Drive folders.
- Indexing documents into Kazma's bi-temporal memory for retrieval-augmented answers.
- Exporting research and automation outputs to DOCX or PDF stored in your Drive.
- Reading attachments you forward to Kazma so the agent can actually process them.
How Kazma uses your Google data
Kazma processes Google User Data — including Gmail messages and Google Drive files — solely to perform the specific backups and automation tasks you initiate. When you connect your Google account, Kazma accesses your data exclusively for the purpose of executing the workflow you have authorized. We do not access your Google data for any other reason, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
Security and consent
Every Google integration in Kazma is protected by three layers of safety: cryptographic skill signing, triple-wired human-in-the-loop approval, and fail-closed governance. Destructive or sensitive actions on your Gmail or Drive always require your explicit approval before Kazma proceeds. OAuth tokens are stored securely, scoped to the minimum required permissions, and can be revoked instantly.
Manage your connection
You stay in control of the Kazma × Google connection. To disconnect, open your Google Account, navigate to Security → Third-party apps with account access, and remove Kazma. The app will immediately lose access to your Gmail and Google Drive.
